The Winchester Coyote Light has been meticulously reduced in size, but it is still not a lightweight in terms of performance. For exceptional accuracy, the medium-heavy fluted steel barrel and brown wooden receiver are mounted into a skeletonized aluminum bedding block and placed in a lightweight carbon fiber/fiberglass composite Bell and Carlson stock. On the foreend, flow-through vents lessen weight and aid in barrel cooling during extended fire strings. In order to fully control the cartridge from the magazine to the chamber to the ejection, a Pre-'64 Style Controlled Round Feed with Claw Extractor and a Pachmayr Decelerator pad are used.
